Best Local Marketing

This award will go to any franchised salon team that has created a marketing idea or strategy, developed and monitored it and can show how it has been successful in developing the franchise.

  1. Show what your aims and objectives are when creating your marketing idea.

  2. Explain why you may use a different approach for various target audiences.

  3. Outline any activities you have organised and why.

  4. How do you evaluate the success of your local marketing?

  5. What help and/or guidelines does the Franchise Owner receive from the Franchisor?

Send in copies of any marketing material, which enhances your entry.

Rising Star

Franchise Owners are asked to nominate anyone within their salon who shines as an individual, has good work ethics, shows keenness and a hunger to learn. In addition, the nomination can include how the nominee may have overcome adversity and how they have gone that one step further to help others.

The answer to EACH question below should be laid out clearly on no more than two A4 sheets. Typeface must be in 12pt.

  1. Explain why you believe this person is worthy of recognition and should win the title of Rising Star.

  2. List any special achievements.

  3. List in bullet points, their special qualities.

Include a photograph of the nominee if possible.
Where possible, include any evidence to back up the claims made in the nomination.

Finalists along with their nominator will be invited to an informal interview in London on Monday 18th April 2011.

Franchise Salon Owner of the Year

The award for this goes to an individual who can show great business acumen, development of their existing franchise and how they intend to achieve future success. Franchisors can nominate Franchise Salon Owners. Can be entered on-line. Click here to enter this category on-line.

  1. Explain the reasons why you bought your franchise/s, and when.

  2. What do you see as being your unique qualities as a franchise salon owner?

  3. What plans do you have for future development of your business?

  4. Outline how you will achieve those plans.

  5. What contribution do you make to the success of the franchised group?

  6. How do you adhere to the Franchise model?

Franchise Salon Team of the Year

This award is based on the salon team's performance and the entry will need to show how the team stands out against other franchised salon teams both within the group and outside. Franchisors can nominate teams in the group. Can be entered on-line. Click here to enter this category on-line.

The answer to EACH question below should be laid out clearly on no more than two A4 sheets. Typeface must be in 12pt.

  1. Explain why you believe your team stands out against other teams both within your franchise group and outside.

  2. Demonstrate how the team has worked together on any special projects and provide evidence either by way of PR or photographs.

  3. Outline any unique elements of the team that have contributed to their success.

  4. How do you motivate the team to ensure they work in unison with each other?

  5. How does the team adhere to the franchise model?

Front of House

This award is aimed at the person responsible for ensuring all aspects of client care are accommodated, and how they monitor and develop this aspect of the business. Can be entered on-line. Click here to enter this category on-line.

  1. Explain why your Front of House is important to your franchised salon.

  2. What measures do you implement to ensure you provide a service over and above the basic customer care skills required?
